The Edelweiss Hotel is a small hotel near the Korean Embassy not too far from the Continental Hotel. It is one of the authors favourite hotels as it is clean, tidy, unpretentious, affordable and the staff are friendly. 5 to 10 minutes walk to Sukhbaatar Square. The hotel looks a bit like a German motorway motel and while it will not suprise you by its originality or comfort neither will it disapoint you. It is a simple hotel with simple prestations but in a sense it is better than the big hotels which are going to give you the same thing with more fuss and charge you more. The hotel is hard to find down little alley ways. The food is not memorable but rather edible with hearty breakfasts in the mornings.
