Mongolia is an enormously large country with a very small transport infrastructure, most travel within the country still has to be done cross country by rugged jeeps. This is of course part of the charm of coming to Mongolia, discovering the virgin landscape of the country but it can also make travelling from place to place arduous and time consuming. Arriving in Mongolia is possible by plane or by train, some people also like to come on motorbikes, driving 2 C.V's or even on horseback.
